Moving
How quickly you move from one room to the next is governed by several
factors. How quickly you're trying to move, your current encumbrance,
how long your legs are, and how tired you are.
The faster you move, the more quickly you get tired.
Available modes of movement:
walk, jog, run, sprint
If you want to keep going in one directly for a while, you can turn
on your 'travel mode'. This makes you automatically continue to walk in
the given direction until you either hit a wall or type 'stop'.
To turn on travel mode type 'travel on', to turn it off, type 'travel off'.
Walking
Syntax:
walk [direction|item|person]
Typing 'walk' by itself sets your movement mode for any future movement.
Walking is the slowest, but most restful method of moving.
Jogging
Syntax:
jog [direction|item|person]
Typing 'jog' by itself sets your movement mode for any future movement.
Jogging will move you faster than a walk, but not quite the speed of a
full run.
Running
Syntax:
run [direction|item|person]
Typing 'run' by itself sets your movement mode for any future movement.
Running moves you faster than a walk or a jog, but not quite the speed of a
full on sprint.
Sprinting
Syntax:
sprint [direction|item|person]
Typing 'sprint' by itself sets your movement mode for any future movement.
Sprinting is the fastest form of movement, but it is extremely exhausting.
Approaching
Syntax:
approach/go [person|item|exit]
This command is used to bring you closer to a person, item, or exit. It is useful if you want to be ready to leave (approach exit) but don't want to leave just yet, or to come closer to friends or enemies to exchange items or attack. Many commands that require contact with items will automatically approach the items.
Following
Syntax:
follow [person]
This commands adds another person to the list of people you are
willing to follow. If that person is in the room, and he is
willing to lead you, then when he moves, the two of you will move
together, as a group.
If you try to follow someone who isn't leading you, then you will move the same directory as he does. Follow in this case works like chasing.
Following someone who is following you will not lead you or him anywhere.
To stop following someone, use stop following [person]
Leading
Syntax:
lead [person]
lead none
This command adds another person to the list of people you are
willing to lead. If they are following you, and you are leading
them you will collectively move at the slowest speed of the group.
To stop leading any person, use 'lead none'.
Travelling
Syntax:
travel [on|off|stop]
This makes you continue to walk in whatever direction you type until
you either hit a wall or type 'stop'. Typing 'travel' by itself shows your
current travel mode. Typing 'travel stop' is a combination of typing 'travel off' and 'stop'.
Stopping
Syntax:
stop
stop [following|leading] [person]
stop [moving|fighting|guarding|dragging]
This command will stop you in whatever you are doing (including moving). If you wish to just stop one activity, then you can do so using the syntax above.
