Look
Syntax:
look
look at [object]
look at [object]
look at [person]'s [object]
look at [object] in [container/object]
look at [object] on [container/object]
look at [object] in here
'look' by itself shows the current room you're in.
'look at [object]' gives a description of an object
'look at [person]' shows what a person looks like
'look at [person]'s [object]' will examine an object a person in
the room is holding/wearing.
'look at [object] in/on [container/object] will examine an item inside
a container/on top of another object.
look at [object] in here will look at the object in the room
If there is two or more of an item, and you want to look at one other
than the first, 'look at 2nd [object]', 'look at [object] 2', etc
Smell
Syntax:
smell
smell [object]
The sense of smell is a primal sense for all creatures. From an evolutionary standpoint it is one of the most ancient senses. Smell traditionally allows all animals to identify food, mates, predators, and provides both sensual pleasure (the odor of flowers and perfume) as well as warnings of danger (spoiled food and chemical dangers). For all creatures, it is one of the most important means by which the environment communicates with them.
The environment on Accursed Lands is full of natural and man made odors. So take a moment to stop and "smell the roses" because they might not always be what you expect.
Listen
Syntax:
listen
listen to [object]
Just like in real life, rooms are full of sound. Some of the many uses for listening include: the song of birds in the air, the more menacing thumps of a
large creature behind you, or hearing the distant shouts of a friend or foe. How well you can hear is based on your hearing stat. This determines how much or how far you can detect the myriad of sounds present in each room. You never know what you might hear, until you stop to listen.
Taste
Syntax:
taste [object]
All edible things in Accursed Lands have some flavor. Before
trying a new food, one should taste it first to see if the
flavor is enjoyable. The savoriness of foodstuffs can be determined
only by being exposed to a small sampling of it.
Touch
Syntax:
touch [object]
Just like in real life, everything feels different. Many different objects
in Accursed Lands will have different responses to your feeling them. You may
discern things otherwise unknown about objects and creatures unless you reach
out and physically touch them.
